Cultivate a team of sales professionals

Some of the best advice I’ve ever taken, and shared, about building a sales team is grow your own, and I’m not talking about the emerging cannabis industry in Pennsylvania! 

Undoubtedly, one of the most challenging aspects of the role of sales management is to recruit, hire, develop, coach, manage, lead and grow your sales team.

It’s challenging because it’s hard. It’s hard because it involves people. People are challenging because, although we all come from the same basic DNA code, and like plants, flora and fauna, there are no two specimens exactly alike! 

So, what’s a sales manager to do? To grow and mold diverse individuals into a high performing team capable of generating revenue and meeting or exceeding goals on a consistent basis is a formidable task.
